The FWP Council
The Fiction Writer’s Platform is pleased to introduce the FWP Council, a select group of nine writers who will provide guidance to the editors in moving FWP forward as a premier platform for fiction writers. Posts and comments by Council members will carry this Council badge image.

John Glimmerveen – writer: John is a freelance writer and author specializing in automotive, motorcycle, and motorsports subjects. John is the owner and senior instructor at the Ju-Jitsu Center of Richmond Hill, in Georgia. The Society of Automotive Engineers published John’s first book in 2004 Hands-On Race Car Engineer, which received critical acclaim in some of the worlds most prestigious motor sports magazines. He is currently working on a second book Hands-On Race Car Component Fabrication Techniques. John lives with his wife, Grace, near to Savannah in Georgia, USA.
Carl Macek – writer: Carl has been a professional writer for over 35 years. During that time he has written books (both fiction and non-fiction) as well as numerous articles on a variety of subjects for various publications. Carl has also written films and episodic television. His most enduring work has been to develop and write the animated television series Robotech. Michelle Pannecoucke – writer: Michelle is a devoted writer, an editor, and an excellent homemaker. She is a Christian and an advocate for all that is lovely and good. She is a contributing writer with Suite101, where she has joined a great writers’ network. Fiction writing is her first passion and she is excited to join Fiction Writer’s Platform. Barbara Perrin – writer: Barb Perrin lives in suburban central Ohio with her father, her teenage son, and two dogs. She is a 2010 winner of the Annual Women Who Write Poetry and Short Prose Contest. In addition to writing fiction, she serves as managing editor of the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
Yolande Pienaar – writer: Yolande lives in sunny South Africa and enjoys traveling through the various African countries, usually off-road and in the wilderness areas. Carol Rzadkiewicz – writer: Carol Rzadkiewicz is an instructor with the University of Phoenix and a novelist, freelance writer, and editorial consultant. Her short stories have appeared in numerous publications, including Predicate Magazine, Zine5, and South Lit. South Lit named her “Author of the Month for May 2006.” Predicate Literary Journal has serialized seven stories from her collection The Second Coming and Other Stories. Carol is the author of two published novels, Mustang Summer and Objects Are Closer Than They Appear, first released in Kindle format then re-published in hard copy by Woodlord Publishing. Sarah Todd – writer: Born in Zimbabwe, I’ve been living abroad since August 2003. I spent three years in Greece before my husband was transferred to Izmir in turkey in November 2006. I was educated in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second largest city. English was my favourite subject at school. Brenda Layman – Editor: Brenda is co-editor of Fiction Writers’ Platform, an outdoor writer, and avid fly fisherman. She is married to Mark Layman, and they live in central Ohio. Brenda’s work has appeared frequently in Ohio Game & Fish, Ohio Valley Outdoors, and on a variety of internet sites. She is the Feature Writer for Hunting & Fishing for internet magazine, Suite 101, where she publishes a weekly article and blog.
